We are thrilled to announce that our sister company Welland Medical’s range of Manuka honey infused products have been awarded the esteemed Skin Health Alliance (SHA) accreditation, a globally recognised mark of excellence in skin safety and care.

The Skin Health Alliance is the leading international accreditation body for skin health, collaborating with dermatologists and scientists worldwide. Their mission is to ensure products adhere to the highest standards of skin safety, providing assurance to consumers and healthcare professionals alike.

Receiving the SHA accreditation means our products have undergone a rigorous independent review by a panel of dermatologists. This comprehensive process evaluates ingredients, clinical trial data, and proof of efficacy to ensure that products are safe, effective, and kind to the skin.

We are proud that the following Manuka honey products are now recognised among some of the world’s most skin-friendly solutions:

Our Manuka honey infused hydrocolloid is developed based on extensive research and clinical studies, showcasing its positive impact on peristomal skin health. Formulated with natural, food-grade ingredients and free from tackifiers or preservatives such as acrylates and glycerine, it significantly reduces the risk of irritation or sensitivity.

This innovative hydrocolloid offers superior moisture management, keeping the skin around the stoma dry while minimising the risk of irritation, maceration, and peristomal dermatitis. Manuka honey, celebrated for its therapeutic properties, plays a vital role in enhancing skin health. A study by White and Evans (2019) found that 94% of patients experienced noticeable improvements in their peristomal skin within just seven days of using a stoma pouch with Manuka honey. Patients also reported enhanced comfort, confidence, and a greater sense of security.

With this accreditation, we reaffirm our commitment to providing products that deliver both exceptional performance and skin safety.
