One-piece colostomy bags

One-piece bags are the most commonly used type of colostomy bag. They comprise an adhesive flange which is attached to the bag. One-piece bags offer a lower profile against the body.

Two-piece colostomy bags

Two-piece colostomy bags have a flange which is separate to the bag. This can reduce the frequency the flange needs to be changed and offers security via the coupling system.

Flat colostomy bags

Flat stoma pouches are the standard style of closed pouch. The flange has a flat profile, making this type of bag ideal for any wearer whose stoma protrudes at least an inch beyond the skin.

Convex colostomy bags

Bags with a convex baseplate push down gently on the skin, which helps the stoma protrude more from the abdomen. Ideal for when the stoma is flush, recessed or retracted.
