Trevor is a passionate sailor who has always had a deep love for travel. After retiring, Trevor and his wife decided to embark on a sailing adventure, leaving Portsmouth to head south in search of warmer weather. They had no fixed plan, only the freedom to explore. Each year, Trevor continues this journey, often spending time enjoying the beautiful coastal regions of Northern Spain. Trevor: I’ve always travelled I just can’t really say why. It’s just in me and nothing’s gonna stop me.

Trevor: We decided we’d retire and go off sailing and didn’t know where we were gonna go or what we’re gonna do except head south to warmer weather. So we left Portsmouth on June 11th and sailed off south. Of I hadn’t have found flushables I probably would still have this uncomfortable feeling of not being normal.

Trevor: Lots of people I’ve met with a colostomy the one big thing they seem to talk about is “I’m not normal anymore.” If they could use a flushable, they would feel normal. When I’m visiting friends, I don’t have to worry them. And when I’m at home with my wife that she doesn’t have to worry about it. And it’s just so much more natural. I felt much much better about it and I felt human again.

Trevor: It’s certainly made it a lot easier to do things, a lot easier to be free. We did a trip from France to northern Spain. It’s 165 miles, took us 44 hours, we had to spend an hour each on the steering wheel throughout the night. My bag was no problem at all. You go when you want to go but don’t have to worry about it and then when you want to change, you change.

Trevor: You have to go with the wind, and the tide, and you’re your thinking about the setting the sails and you’re talking and you’re just enjoying the environment you’re in.

Trevor: So I don’t have any thoughts about pouches or bags, I just sail.

“I do feel that positivity helps. Sometimes you have to go with the wind and the tide. I’ve always travelled, I can’t really say why, it’s just in me and nothing’s going to stop me.”
