We’re thrilled to share this article from the British Journal of Nursing (BJN) highlighting our newest addition to the Aura Plus range – Aura Plus Soft Convex.


A convex stoma appliance is designed to address specific challenges associated with stomas, particularly those with uneven or retracted peristomal skin. Unlike flat appliances, convex appliances feature a gently curved convex shape.


This article demonstrates the clinical use of Aura Plus Soft Convex to increase stomal protrusion and to flatten uneven peristomal skin, ultimately resulting in improved peristomal skin health and reduced leaks.
It also explains the benefits of using a soft convex stoma appliance, and how it provides gentle support to provide a good seal and reducing the risk of trauma around the skin and stoma.
