Sponsoring A Bear Named Buttony
We are delighted to have sponsored the A Bear Named Buttony “Buttony Bash” 10-year anniversary ball.
The ball hosted in Ballater, Aberdeenshire was a chance to reflect and celebrate the successes of the charity. The event raised over £5,000 for A Bear Named Buttony to help them continue their work supporting children and young people with a stoma.
A Bear Named Buttony is more than just a bear.
They’re a charity that supports children and young people who have a stoma and raise positive awareness. The charity was created in 2015 by Jenny Gow (Founder and Trustee) who was inspired by her daughter’s experience growing up with a stoma.
Children with a stoma receive a donation of a book, and Buttony, a cuddly friend, who has a stoma.
Young Adults with a stoma receive a wash bag full of non-medical items to help them adapt to life with a stoma.
Since 2015, A Bear Named Buttony have gifted over 7,200 bears to children.
