Job Summary

As the IT Systems Administrator, you will play a crucial role in providing day-to-day technical support, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues, managing user accounts, and ensuring the smooth operation of IT services. You will handle support requests, perform diagnostics, and escalate issues as necessary to ensure timely resolution.

You will work closely with the IT team and key stakeholders throughout the business to provide efficient and effective IT support. They will identify opportunities to improve the organisation’s overall performance through the implementation and support of various IT systems and tools.

In this role, you will also work alongside the IT Infrastructure Engineer (Infrastructure) to support effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware, networking, and related infrastructure.

You will be proactive and self-sufficient with a proven record of providing excellent IT support.

A will provide 2nd/3rd line support, technical advice, documentation, and recommend actions in conjunction with the IT Support team. They will investigate and troubleshoot complex issues when further escalation or technical assistance is required.

You will contribute to and deliver initiatives that support continuous improvement, review processes and controls within the team, and assist with evaluating technologies that may benefit the business.

You will contribute to the ongoing monitoring, maintenance and improvement of security systems and compliance.

At all times, you will behave in a professional manner at all times and will build professional relationships with customers and key opinion leaders that will enhance the Company’s quality image.

Essential Skills

  • Proven experience in IT support, with a strong focus on Intune and Microsoft 365 Administration including SharePoint, OneDrive & Teams.
  • Experience with troubleshooting hardware and software issues, including but not limited to operating systems, productivity suites, collaboration tools, and business applications.
  • Maintaining dashboards (Intune compliance, M365 health, backup reports)
  • Proactive monitoring of critical systems (network, server, SaaS apps)
  • Experience with network configurations and maintenance.
  • Experience leading technical projects
  • Experience supporting implementation/ ongoing maintenance of security controls (Cyber Essentials+, ISO 27001, NHS DSPT etc.)
  • Methodical and detailed approaches to fixes, new solutions & documentation.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Desirable Skills

  • Cloud technologies, Azure, VMware, and Network Infrastructure and Security, HPE and SD-Wan experience
  • Experience with image deployment tools / systems for hardware roll out / deployment
  • Evaluating new technologies to improve business efficiency
  • SharePoint PowerApps/Flows
  • ERP/Business Systems e.g. CRM, Warehouse Management
  • Cyber Essentials experience
  • Cloud/Mitel Phone System
