We are thrilled to share the results of the SecuriCare CheckIn Service to date and the overwhelmingly positive impact it has made to patients during their post-operative recovery.
SecuriCare CheckIn Service: A Lifeline for Patients

On 2 September 2024, we launched a pilot in Durham and Darlington for a new patient support service called the SecuriCare CheckIn. It was designed to help new patients transition smoothly from hospital care to home life and has proven to be a resounding success. The service has now been rolled out to all hospital accounts across England, Scotland and Wales.
Over the past year, the service has provided a number of daily check-in calls to new patients in the first 7 days after their discharge. These personalised calls ensure our patients feel supported, confident in managing their stoma care, and able to raise any concerns during those crucial early days at home.
This initiative has not only enhanced patient wellbeing but also reinforced our commitment to delivering exceptional, compassionate care.
We are excited to share the progress so far – find out what our patients had to say below.
