Digital Marketing Assistant

Working as part of the Marketing department within a small digital team, you will support the Digital Marketing Manager and Digital Content Marketing Executive with maintaining the company portfolio of websites, CRM data maintenance, creating graphics and simple videos for online use. You will have the opportunity to work on ad hoc digital support projects as they arise. Your role in this team will play an important part in contributing to making a difference to the lives of people living with a range of sensitive healthcare conditions.

Your main duties will include:

Website Maintenance

  • content uploading using a CMS system, following regulatory processes
  • identifying simple HTML issues and correcting
  • resizing graphics as required
  • ensuring correct SEO optimisation
  • reviewing and suggesting improvement solutions

Data Maintenance

  • updating the GoldMine CRM database following email campaigns
  • maintaining the eNewsletter databases in Excel

Creative Design

  • infographics, banners, facebook ads, social media posts etc. as required
  • photography and image editing in Adobe Photoshop
  • simple video creation and editing of existing videos
  • proactive approach to suggesting, collating and creating visual online content

Social Media Support

  • Scheduling monthly social media posts using Hootsuite
  • Assisting creation of social content when Digital Content Marketing Executive unavailable
  • Assistance with monitoring social media accounts and forwarding queries
  • Collating company news articles and working with the Content Marketing Executive on repurposing
  • Uploading and managing content reviews through the online Copy Matter Approval process

Other Duties

  • Assisting with building email campaigns and scheduling when Digital Content Marketing Executive is unavailable
  • Supporting maintenance and staff usage of the company Intranet
  • Maintaining the communal Digital Marketing team inbox and forwarding / filing enquiries
  • Collating digital campaign examples for review at Marketing Meetings
  • Collating online product/service feedback and circulating monthly
  • Liaison with third party agencies when Digital Marketing Manager unavailable
  • Assistance as required with gathering report data, using a range of tools including Google Analytics, SEMRush and GoldMine Reports
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with colleagues, including attending working groups and events / sales conferences as required
  • Creating minutes for digital meetings
  • Assisting with collecting content during events and PR activity (may require some occasional travel)
  • Helping to champion digital marketing best practice within the organisation
  • Other ad hoc digital administration, development and digital marketing projects as they arise

You will behave in a professional manner at all times and you will build professional relationships with customers and external suppliers that will enhance the Company’s quality image.

Person Specification

Essential

  • Proven experience in a Digital / Admin / Marketing role (Agency or Inhouse) with demonstrable digital experience
  • Experience with CMS and CRM systems, email marketing and social media scheduling tools
  • Proficient with Microsoft Suite / Office 365 – Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Outlook, Teams
  • Working knowledge of social media platforms – Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube
  • Demonstrable portfolio of creative works – videos, infographics, social posts, banners etc.
  • Excellent attention to detail, highly organised
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills
  • Ability to independently and accurately interpret briefs
  • Proactive and willing to voice new ideas
  • Flexible and happy to take on any tasks to support the team – good at managing changing priorities and meeting deadlines

Desirable

  • Digital qualifications
  • Basic working knowledge of HTML beneficial
  • Healthcare industry experience
