Distribution Supervisor – Home Delivery Service

You will be responsible for overseeing the running of the Home Delivery team within the Distribution function.

Ensuring that a safe working environment is maintained through best practice Health and Safety Guidelines.

To deputise within other areas of the warehouse where that Supervisor or Team Leader is not available.

Delegated shared responsibility for the Distribution Department in the absence of the Operations Manager-Transport and Logistics.

To maintain the distribution best practice guidelines.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

To implement the Company’s Quality Policy as documented in the Quality and Procedures Manual

Organisation and supervisory control of the Assistant Team Leader and team

Ensure you and your teams adhere to all relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) as defined within Entropy which outlines the SOP’s that affect your role/Dept as part of the Quality Management Systems.

Line Management of all direct reports including, but not limited to, staff planning, recruitment, performance management and reviews as well as championing 5s and lean

Responsible for accurate stock control and for ensuring all picking locations are full stocked using WMS

Responsible for ensuring there is effective stock rotation using First In, First Expiry (FIFE) principles

Implementation of companies Health & Safety policies and procedures

Be prepared to undertake any internal / external training as required

To be flexible as possible with working hours at times of heavy workload

To undertake any other duties, from time to time, as can be reasonably requested by the Company which may include ad hoc relevant projects as specified by line management.

You will behave in a professional manner at all times, and you will build professional relationships with internal stakeholders, customers and key opinion leaders that will enhance the Company’s quality image.

  • Experience with 5s, Lean Six Sigma and Lean
