Blood Porters
Validated for the Safe Transportation of Blood Components
The thermal properties of the Porters allows them to be used in a variety of applications. Products may be kept warm, cool or frozen as desired. The Porter can be used with dry ice, or with refrigerated Medicool packs (that remove the need for ice - and thus the risk of freezing). Medicools may also be warmed to a desired transportation temperature.
The Blood Porters have been validated for the National Blood Service (NBS) to transport plasma, platelets and red blood cells at the required temperature for a minimum of 6 hours (27º C ambient).1
Graph of Blood Porter validation results*
The accompanying graph of results shows that the product temperature remained within the required threshold (+2°C to +10°C) for a period of seven hours.

* The validations are in good faith in that they represent the tests as carried out. Liability is restricted to replacement of faulty product only. The customer should check the results to verify suitability of the designs for their own use.
